Machinist

The Second Shift Machinist is capable of operating one type of machine to perform highly routine/repetitive work with minimal supervision. Detailed instruction and guidance are provided as needed. Continues growth in knowledge and skills and acquiring work experience. Typically requires 2-5 years’ experience. Working hours is 2:30pm to 3:00am.

Job Description:

• Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities for a designated location (outside of Technology Lifecycle Management activities).
• Maintain equipment according to procedures, reporting problems or deviations.
• Operate equipment according to procedures, competency levels and job requirement.
• Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process.
• Participate in failure investigations when relevant.
• Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
  
  
  

At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $22-$34 per hour.

Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Requires 2 years’ experience in a related field or in a role that involves the use of hand and/or machine tools.
• Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
