Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Deep Foundations General Laborer position based in Colorado. Responsibilities include supporting drilling and piling construction projects with physical labor, assisting in site preparation, loading and unloading materials, operating and maintaining tools and equipment, and adhering to safety protocols at all times. The General Laborer will work as part of a collaborative team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively. When deep foundation jobs are not active, the General Laborer will be attached to crews in other divisions of Slaton Bros, Inc. to include MSE crews, Wall crews, Block Crews, and soil nail crews.

In this role, the General Laborer will be trained on caisson/drilled shaft drilling operations, and sheet pile driving operations. This includes, assisting the drill operator from the ground, learning/operating assist equipment when required, and learning how to and assisting in welding.

This position will require travel within the state of Colorado and occasionally out of state. Housing and per diem will be provided by the company for jobsites that require it.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining construction tools and basic equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong physical stamina, ability to perform heavy lifting, and capability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of on-site safety protocols and adherence to safety standards.
• Reliable communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Previous civil construction or general labor experience preferred.
• Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred (skid steers, front-end loaders, forklifts, excavators) but not required.
• Previous welding experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks and challenges on-site.
• Willingness to assist other division crews when not on deep foundation jobs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
