Job Overview
Our client is a is a leading manufacturer of high-quality metal toolboxes and custom fabricated metal parts, serving industries such as trucking, agriculture, and construction. They are seeking an experience Manager to lead the 2nd shift Start Ops Department to ensure manufacturing procedures are performed as required.
Duties
- Maintaining High Quality and Efficiency (90% of the job)
- Train current and new employees in all aspects of the Start Ops Department and monitor floor activities
- Monitor all start operation equipment, performing self-fixes and/or working with the Maintenance Team
- Participate in process auditing working closely with the Quality Team
- Oversee the Start Ops Team to ensure items are moving according to schedules and on-time delivery measures are met as set by lean metric goals
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience in a similar front-line leadership role or minimum 5 years’ experience in a laser operator or programming role
- Knowledge of Cincinnati Lasers, CNC Turret presses, CNC equipment, shears and maintenance of said equipment
- Ability to program start ops equipment
- Use of measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Able to read, understand and follow work instructions and blue prints
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Able to read/write/speak English fluently and is able to fill out all required forms and paperwork needed for the position
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
