What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Cashier/Social Media Specialist position at Slater St. Antiques?
Are you passionate about antiques and customer service? We are a small, family-owned antique store looking to hire a Part-Time Cashier/Social Media Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a flair for social media.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate the cash register and give customers the correct change.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Answer customer questions and provide exceptional service.
- Manage the store’s social media accounts by uploading photos and videos of new inventory, special deals, and store events.
- Send bi-monthly marketing emails to our customer list to keep them engaged with our store.
Position Requirements:
- Availability for 2-3 days a week (10-15 hours per week) including one weekend per month. (schedule posted one month in advance, must be able to work 2 days consecutively minimum)
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for antiques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Social media experience (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and basic photography skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be reliable and able to work during store hours.
- Must be comfortable working independently, shifts will involve being the only staff member in the store
Store Hours:
- Open Daily: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
