Slate Pickleball Club is seeking a dynamic, service-driven Assistant General Manager to lead event execution, elevate the member experience, and support daily club operations. This is a highly visible leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment and has a passion for pickleball, community, and premium service.
While pickleball coaching experience is a plus, we are equally interested in candidates who solely possess strong operational leadership or hospitality backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Events Manager
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all club events from concept to execution, including private events, pickleball parties, mitzvahs, and charity functions
- Own the full event lifecycle: scheduling, staffing, vendor coordination, supply procurement, and client communication
- Drive revenue growth through creative event concepts, community outreach, and proactive business development
- Track event financials and ensure alignment with club revenue goals
- Evaluate event success, gather feedback, and continuously enhance the event experience
Pickleball Coach
- Lead and deliver high-quality coaching across clinics, programs, and private lessons
- Uphold Slate’s elevated coaching and hospitality standards on and off the court
- Promote participation and help grow programming through member engagement and relationship-building
- Collaborate with the Director of Pickleball to optimize class sizes and coach-to-member ratios
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing development
Front Desk & Bar Manager
- Recruit, train, and supervise front desk and beverage service staff to deliver exceptional hospitality
- Oversee daily operations of the lobby, lounge, and bar to ensure a seamless, high-end member experience
- Manage inventory, ordering, and procurement for bar and front-of-house supplies
- Ensure accurate use of POS and management systems for billing, events, and member services
- Maintain compliance with liquor laws, health codes, and safety protocols
- Address member concerns professionally and efficiently

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
