The Process Engineer, Coating & Bonding for the coating and bonding line is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes related to the coating and bonding of vehicles. This role focuses on improving efficiency, quality, and safety within the production line.

The Process Engineer, Coating & Bonding for the coating and bonding line is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes related to the coating and bonding of vehicles. This role focuses on improving efficiency, quality, and safety within the production line.

| WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Process Design and Optimization
- Develop and implement systems and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the coating and bonding process.
- Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes to enhance production rates and quality.
- Conduct process simulations and risk assessments to identify potential improvements.
- Establish and maintain quality standards for the coating and bonding process.
- Monitor and analyze process performance to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve product reliability.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the coating and bonding process.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
- Ensure all processes and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop safety procedures for individuals working with equipment and materials in the coating and bonding line.
- Document all created processes and update these documents as changes occur.
- Prepare and present regular reports on process performance and improvements to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Process Engineering or related areas are a plus.
- 8 years of experience in Process Engineering for Coating & Bonding, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Must have experience in PTED (Pre-Treat Electro-Deposition) or Bonding (Metal to Plastic).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
- Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
