The City of Pearland is in search for a dedicated full-time IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic Information Technology department.
The IT Support Specialist earns a competitive salary of $22.92-24.81 per hour based on qualifications. Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. We also offer a retirement plan through the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) with a 2:1 employer match, life insurance, disability, access to the city's recreation fitness center, employee assistance program, educational assistance, 11 paid holidays and 2 designated paid holidays, paid vacation, sick leave, and an active wellness program focusing on physical, mental, and financial health.

Essential Job Functions
- Answers calls for tech support; answers the IT emergency line and calls or emails for support.
- Implements IT projects for departments within the City.
- Installs and upgrades software for users and vendors; performs upkeep, management, and administration of IT systems.
- Gathers information and data for various IT projects to increase user efficiency; creates new and updated workplace tools.
- Presents IT information and guidance that could lead to actionable events or purchases.
- Provides information and guidance on how to effectively complete departmental tasks from a technological perspective.
- Enforces IT policies and procedures.
- You will provide technical support to all users and systems within the City of Pearland.
- Requires an Associate's Degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to the satisfactory completion of two years of college in information technology or a closely related field.
- Requires two years of information technology support or closely related experience.
- One year of Audio-Visual experience preferred
