Key Responsibilities
- System Assembly & Configuration: Build, configure, and maintain a fleet of desktop and server test systems (including motherboard BIOS configuration, power supply routing, and PCIe card installation).
- Hardware Bring-Up Support: Assist validation engineers with the physical setup, cabling, and deployment
- OS & Environment Management: Install, image, and configure Windows and Linux operating systems across various test benches. Ensure systems are properly networked and updated.
- Lab Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe lab environment. Manage hardware inventory, track component locations, and coordinate equipment calibration.
- Basic Debug & Execution: Assist in running automated test scripts, capturing basic logs and reproducing physical hardware connection issues.
- Equipment Handling: Safely handle delicate silicon, development boards, and specialized test equipment
- Hands-on experience in a hardware lab environment (academic projects or professional experience).
- Familiarity with computer architecture and the ability to confidently build and tear down desktop and server systems from scratch.
- Comfortable navigating and configuring both Windows and Linux environments.
- Ability to read basic technical documentation and follow precise physical setup instructions.
- Exposure to scripting languages used in hardware automation (e.g., Python, Tcl, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with basic board-level modifications (soldering) or working with FPGAs.
