Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our shop and field team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and finish carpentry, with experience fabricating and installing high-quality custom cabinetry, builtins and casework. This position requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to collaborate with both shop and field crews odin a variety of residential projects.
Key Responsibilites
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication of cabinets and wood components
- Use hand tools and power tools designed for woodworking to cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet parts with precision
- Operate woodworking machines such as saws, sanders, drills, and routers safely and efficiently
- Measure materials accurately and perform construction estimating to determine material needs and project costs
- Install cabinets, fixtures, doors, siding, trim, and other woodwork on-site following safety protocols and project specifications
- Perform finishing work including caulking, staining, sanding, and sealing to achieve a polished look
- Assist with remodeling projects, flooring installation, plastering, rebar installation, mold remediation, and other related tasks as needed
Skills
- 2 years of cabinetmaking or finish carpentry experience
- Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in woodworking techniques, cabinet assembly, and installation
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and (preferred) CNC machinery
- Knowledge of materials, hardware, and woodworking finishes
- Familiarity with trim work, door installation, and fixture placement
- Ability to lift and handle materials safely in both shop and field environments
- Basic understanding of related trades (plumbing, electrical, flooring) is a plus
- Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work collaboratively with others as well as independently
