We are seeking a senior, hands-on Systems Architect – Automation Consultant to help reimagine and transform enterprise workflows using AI, data, and modern automation tools.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous, 0→1 environments, and can take full ownership of complex problems—from defining the solution through building and delivering production-ready outcomes.You will operate as a high-impact individual contributor, designing and implementing automation-first systems that improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency across enterprise processes.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze existing enterprise workflows and reimagine them as automation-first processes
- Design and implement end-to-end, production-ready solutions using AI, data, and modern tooling
- Break down complex processes across technology, data, and business layers into scalable solutions
- Build systems from concept through deployment and iteration in real-world environments
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, creating structure and direction where none exists
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (business, product, engineering) while maintaining ownership of outcomes
- Make pragmatic decisions across trade-offs (speed vs. quality vs. scalability) to deliver viable solutions
- Continuously refine and improve workflows based on performance, reliability, and real-world usage
What You’ll Bring
- 10 years of experience in consulting, architecture, product, or complex problem-solving roles
- Proven ability to design, build, and operationalize automation or workflow transformation solutions
- Hands-on experience with AI / GenAI, automation platforms, or data-driven systems in production environments
- Strong systems thinking—able to design across tools, data, logic, and user interaction
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous problems without clearly defined requirements
- Experience building end-to-end solutions from concept through deployment
- Comfort working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Track record of owning delivery and driving outcomes in fast-moving, undefined environments

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted hourly pay range is $95 to $110/HR. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
