What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control Coordinator position at SL Tennessee?
II-1. General Description
1) Responsible for ensuring quality assurance and the production team meets scheduled goals. This entails a range of oversight of work including planning, scheduling, directing and executing production activities for maximum performance of projects.
II-2. Key Roles and Responsibilities
1) Participate in the analysis of product defects.
2) Assure completion of the production schedule.
3) Provide support and training to the employees.
4) Participate in problem solving team activities.
5) Insure the quality of the product, by monitoring the compliance of the quality requirements and criteria.
6) Supervise compliance with the area’s procedures and instructions.
7) Monitor the reliability of the processes.
8) Participate in the responses to customer complaints.
9) Implement continuous improvement programs in the production area.
10) Utilize business systems for decision making and ensure accuracy.
11) Implement inventory and scrap reduction projects
12) Comply with the quality and environment standards procedures and instructions (those applicable)
13) Common knowledge of basic ergonomics
14) Identify safety risks and concerns
15) Act on any safety risks and concerns that could cause harm to employees
16) All those activities generated as a result of changes, requirements and/or improvement in the process of the applicable area
17) Treat employees with respect to increase productivity
II-3. Job Requirements
II-3-1. Work Experience
1) 2-3 year Coordinator experience in automotive environment.
II-3-2. Education
1) Prefer College Degree advanced degree desirable
II-3-3. Knowledge Skills and Abilities
1) The ability to work with minimal supervision
2) Ability to interact with hourly employees and management
3) Basic understanding of sound inventory practices
4) Ability to complete assigned projects on time in a changing environment
5) Demonstrate good ethical characteristics and behaviors
6) Ability to perform tasks using Microsoft software; Word, Excel etc.
7) Basic Applied statistics
8) Quality and environmental systems
9) Handling of chemical substances and hazardous residues
