What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lighting Electrical Integration Lead position at SL Michigan?
We’re growing our Lighting Engineering team at SL Michigan and are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Integration Lead to support advanced automotive electronics program execution in the Metro Detroit area.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong automotive electronics background who enjoys driving cross-functional execution, coordinating global teams, and leading complex vehicle programs from concept through SOP.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Lead electronics execution within cross-functional program teams
• Coordinate RFQs, supplier activities, timing, cost, and engineering changes
• Drive VAVE and launch readiness activities
• Interface with OEM customers and global engineering/manufacturing teams
• Support DV/PV planning, validation readiness, and risk management
• Collaborate closely with Program Management, Purchasing, Validation, Manufacturing, and Suppliers
🔹 Preferred Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering
• 7–10 years of automotive electronics integration/program execution experience
• Experience with RFQs, supplier coordination, cost tracking, and launch activities
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• Technical Program Management or Systems Engineering experience is a plus
