SL Container Systems is hiring experienced independent 1099 technicians for mobile compactor and container repair across Ohio (with opportunities in PA/WV). You’ll perform field service—welding, mechanical, hydraulic, refurb/paint—and represent SLC on customer sites.
Responsibilities
Diagnose/repair compactors, containers, and waste-hauling equipment
Perform welding, hydraulic and mechanical work; paint/refurb as needed
Travel within ~300 miles of Columbus, OH; manage time and communication
Complete work order worksheets; coordinate with SLC for invoicing/payment
Must-Haves
Late-model work truck you own
Your own equipment: welding machine, commercial paint sprayer, grinder, hand tools
Insurance: business liability and workers’ compensation (required)
Document readiness: W-9, driver’s license, proof of insurance, NDA/service agreement
Hands-on experience with compactors/containers or strong mechanical/hydraulic background
Willing to travel (contractor covers travel; no per diem)
Compensation
~$1,000/day; minimum $5,000/week potential (based on workload/performance)
1099 contract; paid after customer payment posts to SLC (sometimes 1–3 weeks)
