What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Conducting site visits and pre-bid meetings as needed
- Collaborating with fabrication and field teams to validate scope and constructability
- Maintaining and updating estimating databases and historical cost records
- Assisting in value engineering and cost-saving recommendations
- Supporting contract negotiations and change order pricing
What You Bring to the Table:
- 3 years of estimating experience in steel erection and/or fabrication
- Strong understanding of structural steel components, erection methods, and industry standards
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Tekla EPM, Bluebeam, MS Excel)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines
