Job Overview

Duties

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services
• Source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish pricing agreements to maximize value and reduce costs
• Coordinate with production planning, logistics, and merchandising teams to align purchasing activities with operational needs
• Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory management strategies to prevent stock shortages or excesses
• Conduct market research and analyze supply chain data to identify sourcing opportunities and improve procurement efficiency
• Oversee supply chain activities including logistics, transportation, and distribution to ensure smooth delivery of materials
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier performance documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS or similar platforms in a purchasing or materials management role
• Strong understanding of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory control, and supply chain management principles
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish favorable contracts and pricing agreements
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, procurement best practices, and e-commerce platforms for procurement activities
• Familiarity with logistics coordination, production planning, and merchandising processes
• Ability to analyze data related to pricing, inventory levels, and supplier performance for continuous improvement
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and build supplier relationships
