Description
The Senior Accountant plays a key role on the Accounting team having hands-on involvement in a multi-entity accounting environment. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for processing accounting transactions, preparing reconciliations and providing general accounting support. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have a positive and professional attitude, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the General Ledger Manager and is located in Irvine, California. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process for cash and investments
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
- Own the payroll accounting function and related reconciliations
- Reconcile, settle and own the intercompany accounting function
- Effectively partner with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Payroll and International accounting teams
- Perform various SAP uploads related to purchasing and travel cards
- Manage the recurring entry and reversing journal entry processes in SAP
- Provide support for various types of audits
- Participate in ad hoc analysis and special projects as necessary
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience at a mid-size firm or larger is a plus
- General ledger experience and knowledge of US GAAP
- Team player with strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Desired Experience and Skills
- SAP experience preferred
- Intercompany experience a plus
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $91,200 - $177,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
