Skyworks Cedar Rapids design center is seeking a Senior Principal Layout Designer responsible for the layout of Analog integrated circuits, utilizing commercial/standard bulk SOI and CMOS technologies in accordance with design rules. * Work closely with design engineers in the layout and verification of filters for wireless consumer electronic products using the Cadence Design environment and Calibre verification tools
* Position requires remote interfacing with domestic and international design engineering and layout teams across multiple design centers in different time zones
* Position requires mentoring junior staff
* Position requires project schedule management skills
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum 8 years of experience in the layout of integrated circuits including the ability to place and route active and passive devices
* Ability to plan the placement of major circuit components in an overall physical design
* Good understanding of semiconductor processes and structures, like CMOS FETs, capacitors, resistors etc.
* Provide good experience and competency using Cadence Virtuoso and SkillCAD tools
* Proven ability to interpret DRC, ERC, LVS, ANTENNA using the Calibre verification tool and to read electrical schematics and netlists
* Top level integration experience is also preferred
* Previous experience in the preparation of layout data for release to foundry a plus
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$114,400 -$220,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
