SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Minnesota to find a Food Safety & Quality Manager for their team! Our client is a well-known Minnesota food brand with a loyal customer base and they’ve been consistently growing over the last few years (around 15%). The Food Safety & Quality Manager will oversee the day-to-day food safety and quality activities within the production facility, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards. This role partners closely with operations to identify risks, initiate corrective actions, and continuously improve food safety & quality systems. It’s a direct-hire/permanent opportunity with a popular Minnesota business who’s looking for a strong FSQ Manager with aspirations to grow into a director level role in the future. Responsibilities
Conduct line audits and GMP inspections to verify proper ingredient use and procedural compliance.
Lead and manage CAPA activities, including root cause analysis.
Deliver ongoing food safety and GMP training across production teams.
Manage product specifications and labeling compliance.
Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality and food safety concerns.
Lead internal audits and external supplier audits as needed.
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5 years of experience in Food Safety & Food Quality roles (or combination of roles).
Experience working in a food production or similar regulated environment.
Strong understanding of GMPs, audits, regulatory requirements, and food safety systems.
HACCP and/or PCQI certifications preferred.
Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
