Teller I - Part Time

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Teller 1 (Part-Time)

Reports To (Title): Branch Supervisor

Department: Member Services

JOB SUMMARY:

Create a positive member experience through each interaction while accurately and efficiently processing transactions and following proper security procedures. Individual must utilize good judgement while assisting members with inquiries and be capable of providing outstanding service while offering problem resolution in a professional and composed manner.

The ideal candidate will be required to work 25-30 hours per week with Saturday shifts being mandatory.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Inform and educate members on how to utilize credit union self-service technologies.

Ø Record transactions while maintaining a high level of attention to detail to ensure drawer reconciles.

Ø Promote credit union products and services on a consistent basis while referring to the proper department when necessary.

Ø Listen carefully and connect with members to understand their top financial priorities to uncover products and solutions that will benefit them.

Ø Maintain member confidence and protect credit union operations by maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Ø Maintain guest offices and respond to guest/member needs.

Ø Assist members by phone by cross training and working in Contact Center environment when needed.

Ø Must be a good team player who works well under pressure.

Ø Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Ø High school graduate or GED required.

Ø Customer service experience in financial services, retail sales, cashiering or a goal-oriented environment preferred.

QUALIFICATONS:

Ø Ability to respond and assist members with inquiries and/or problem resolution.

Ø Ability to work effectively as a team member.

Ø Ability to identify member financial needs, goals, and objectives, while being comfortable asking about their personal finances.

Ø Ability to sell members on meeting with a specialist to learn about products/services.

Ø Strong communication skills (including verbal and non-verbal) and active listening skills.

Ø Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.

Ø Strong attention to detail.

Ø Proficient in basic computer skills.

DETAILS:

Ø Individual will work 25-30 hours per week with Saturday’s being mandatory.
