Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area/Local Manager & Arborist Representative to oversee tree care sales & operations in the Marin County area. As the Local Manager this position will manage all operations out of this office. This will include business development, supervision/management of all personnel in the office. The position will be responsible for meeting sales and production goals. This role involves managing teams, ensuring quality standards, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personnel management, Arboriculture, sales, meeting sales goals, business development, customer service, and leadership. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team while contributing to the health and aesthetics of local landscapes.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate tree care operations, including pruning, trimming, plant health care, and removal services.
- Schedule approved proposals
- Oversee landscape maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate or oversee the operation of bucket trucks and other arborist equipment for safe and efficient work.
- Utilize GIS technology for mapping and planning purposes to optimize service routes and project layouts.
- Implement rigging procedures for safe tree removal and pruning activities.
- Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to meet client expectations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices during all operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and providing expert advice on tree care and landscaping solutions.
- Support growing experience within the team by mentoring junior staff and promoting ongoing education in horticulture and arboriculture techniques.
Requirements
- ISA Certified Arborist
- Able to obtain QAL in 6 months
- Ability to produce well written and complete Arborist Reports
- Develop new business relationships
- Proven experience in tree care, tree trimming, landscaping, or related horticulture fields.
- Proven sales experience
- Strong computer skills
- Create proposals with computer bases proposal software
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, bucket operation, and bucket truck usage.
- Familiarity with GIS applications for landscape planning and project management.
- Hands-on experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general horticultural practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous management or supervisory roles preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and clients.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Growing experience in arboriculture or horticulture is highly desirable; relevant certifications are a plus.
