Position: Middle School Teacher
Type: Full Time, 2026–2027 School Year
Position Summary
Skyview School seeks a middle school teacher dedicated to students’ social, emotional, and academic growth. This role is part of a close-knit team of 2 teachers and 2 aides and includes teaching social studies, English language arts, and 7th-grade math. The teacher will design and deliver engaging, multidisciplinary, project-based learning while fostering a positive, supportive classroom environment. Ideal candidates have experience with middle school students and differentiating instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Plan lessons, assess student progress, and provide feedback
- Differentiate instruction for individual student needs
- Communicate effectively with families and colleagues
- Collaborate with staff, including special education and aides
- Implement Responsive Classroom practices
- Participate in professional development
- Plan and chaperone field trips (including overnight trips)
- Attend school-wide events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and a valid teaching credential
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with lesson planning and project-based learning
