About the Role:
- Recreation Assistant responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents
- Collaborating with nursing staff and other department heads to ensure that recreational activities are aligned with individualized care plans
- Maintaining accurate records of recreational activities and resident participation
- Participating in inter-disciplinary team meetings to discuss resident needs and develop strategies for enhancing their quality of life
- Supporting the Recreation Director in planning and implementing special events and programs
- Other responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for recreational activities
- Assisting with setup and cleanup of recreational activities
- Providing support with daily living activities, such as feeding, bathing, and dressing, as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
