Duties
- Remove and replace damaged or broken auto glass on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles.
- Perform precise glass installations using hand tools and power tools, ensuring perfect fitment and secure adhesion.
- Conduct ADAS calibrations after windshield replacement to ensure vehicle safety features operate correctly.
- Apply window tinting films to enhance vehicle aesthetics and UV protection when required.
- Inspect vehicles for additional mechanical issues or body damage that may need attention during service visits.
- Use auto estimating software to assess repair needs accurately and communicate findings with customers or service managers.
- Lift heavy glass panels safely using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent injury or damage.
- Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions for quality assurance.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with auto glass installation and vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge of ADAS systems calibration procedures to ensure safety features function properly after repairs.
- Familiarity with window tinting techniques and materials for professional application.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience handling hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment.
- Ability to perform auto body repairs or assist with minor dent removal when needed.
