Tower Technician

The position of a Wireless Infrastructure Technician works on a team of 2-5 people. You are responsible for duties assigned by the Top Hand and Foreman to complete various tasks within a set deadline of leading cellphone companies.

Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Daily climbing towers/structures to complete job tasks. Structures to include monopoles, self supports, guyed towers, water towers, rooftops, etc.
• Assist overall job on the ground as well, including rigging, hoisting, and preparing equipment for installation. All while maintaining site cleanliness and a safe work environment.
• Serve as a rescue climber if and when needed.
• At times, lift more than 70lbs.
• Demonstrate mechanical/technical skills in a safe and efficient manner.
• Keep safety and 100% tie-off a number ONE priority. Always work towards training and certifications for tower-related work.
• Capable of fostering teamwork while maintaining accountability, integrity, and a positive attitude.
• Abide by all SkyTower policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• This is an entry-level, FULL-TIME position that requires the endurance to climb tall cell phone towers. Physical endurance and strength are a must.
• Valid driver’s license and can drive a truck/trailer
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, organization, email communication, etc.
• High School Diploma
• Preferred experience with hand and power tools, climbing, working outdoors, working at heights

Job schedule:

• Full-Time
• Overtime available
• Monday-Friday
• Howell, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
• Willingness to travel must be at least 50-75%
