Job Overview
We are seeking a hungry, humble, and smart teammate to join us as a Registered Dietitian. In this role, you will partner with our culinary team to lead the nutrition program at Skyterra Young Adult. You will be responsible for developing curriculum, providing health education, and collaborating with our team to promote holistic well-being.
Responsibilities
- Nutrition Planning: Partner with the SYA Chef to support the Skyterra nutrition plan and promote the Skyterra Plate as a primary tool for guest needs.
- Curriculum Development: Develop culinary and nutrition curriculum for Skyterra Young Adult.
- Menu Collaboration: Work with the chef to develop and maintain a menu plan with a 3-4 week rotation.
- Clinical Care: Conduct individual nutrition consultations, including initial assessments and formulation of guest goals.
- Education & Support: Conduct group culinary and nutrition discussions and classes; support guests struggling with nutritional deficiencies or disordered eating behaviors.
- Hands-on Training: Facilitate cooking demonstrations with the chef and teach guests essential culinary and nutrition skills.
- Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with the SYA team to ensure guests are supported in all areas of nutrition development.
Qualifications
- Professional Credentials: Registered Dietitian (RD) or RDN eligible.
- Licensure: North Carolina state licensure in Nutrition is required.
- Education: Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
- Experience: 1 years of experience preferred, specifically working with young adults or around disordered eating behaviors.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and guest communication skills with a natural intuition for helping others.
Pay: $40.00 per hour
