Material Handler (Heavy Lifting)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (No weekends)Pay Rate: $20/hourLocation: San Diego, CAAbout the RoleWe are seeking Material Handlers (Record Center Specialists) to join our team in San Diego. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.You will be responsible for moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes ranging in weight from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs, using both manual handling and hand carts.Job Summary & Work Schedule• Full-time: 5 days per week, 9-hour shifts• Includes a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks• Consistent daytime schedule with no weekend workKey Responsibilities• Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials• Safely lift, carry, and arrange boxes weighing 10–100 lbs without assistance• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment on concrete and uneven surfaces• Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts• Load boxes onto pallets and trucks manually and with handling aids• Use handheld scanners and proprietary computer systems to track orders and locate boxes• Climb and balance on ladders when neededEssential Functions• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods• Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes up inclines, stairs, and uneven surfaces• Read and write English to process orders and labels• Safely operate material handling equipmentRequirements• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs regularly without assistance• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment• Protective footwear required: must meet ASTM F2413-11 safety standards with slip-resistant rating (“Better” or “Best”)Company DescriptionSkySource Solutions believes in attaining success.
