Production Technician

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Shift: Weekend-Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $19/hour

Join our dynamic team as a Production Technician and play a key role in ensuring high-quality manufacturing operations. This weekend shift position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment (fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, blow mold machines, wrappers, forklifts)
• Record preventative maintenance, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output, and other key metrics
• Adhere to safe work practices and good manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Communicate effectively to resolve issues impacting production standards
• Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, output, and downtime
• Perform mathematical calculations as needed
• Conduct hourly quality checks and inspect raw materials before use
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.)
• Attend scheduled shift, team, and plant meetings
• Continuously improve line operations and support other technicians
• Cross-train in other areas to support during downtimes
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Execute duties with urgency while prioritizing safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in clean manufacturing preferred
• Ability to work scheduled weekend shift including start-up and handover meetings
• Exposure to high-speed production and basic maintenance preferred
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
• Strong communication skills (face-to-face and radio)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic computer skills; SAP experience a plus
• Forklift experience preferred (training available)
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
