Torrance, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 8/1/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/30/2026
Physical Therapist — Outpatient Orthopedics

Skypark Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation  •  Torrance, CA

Full-Time  •  $90,000–$110,000 base plus performance bonus  •  New grads welcome

Skypark Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our growing outpatient clinic in Torrance. This role is focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population while collaborating with a tight-knit team that values clear communication, professional growth, and an exceptional patient experience.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. You’ll be paired with a named mentor for weekly one-on-one case review during your first six months, with a structured 30/60/90-day caseload ramp — mentoring time is paid and protected.

Compensation

Base salary is $90,000–$110,000, depending on experience. We use a written rubric for placement within the range and we’ll share it with you during the interview, so the number isn’t a mystery or a negotiation contest.

There is also a performance bonus. The salary covers a full caseload of 70 completed visits per week — about 14 a day. Beyond that, each completed visit pays an additional $15, with no cap. Whether to build past 70 is up to you; some therapists will want the fuller schedule and the income, some won’t, and both are fine with us. At a $95,000 base it works out like this:

 | Average completed visits | Bonus per year | Total pay | 70 per week (full caseload) | — | $95,000
| 75 per week | $3,500 | $98,500
| 80 per week (16/day) | $7,100 | $102,100
| 90 per week | $14,200 | $109,200
| 100 per week | $21,300 | $116,300

A few details on how the bonus works:

•   A visit counts when the patient arrives and is treated.

•   Time off doesn’t count against you. Vacation, sick, holiday, and CE days reduce the weekly target proportionally. It’s measured weekly, so a shorter day doesn’t hurt you either.

•   It’s calculated and paid each quarter. Once paid, it’s yours — there are no clawbacks and nothing is held until year-end.

•   It begins after your 90-day onboarding period.

•   Bonus eligibility requires timely documentation, clinically appropriate utilization, and compliance with payer and clinic standards.

Benefits

 | Benefit | Approximate value | Base salary (example at $95,000) | $95,000
| Student loan / education benefit — $2,500 paid every 6 months during your first 2 years | $5,000/yr
| SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with 4% employer match | ~$3,800/yr
| Health insurance — Blue Shield Gold PPO, 50% employer-paid, plus dental | ~$4,500/yr
| Continuing education — $1,500/yr stipend plus 2 paid CE days | ~$2,200/yr
| California license renewal, malpractice coverage, BLS certification, APTA dues | Paid by clinic
| 21 paid days off — 10 PTO, 5 sick, 6 holidays | —
| Approximate first-year value, before bonus | $110,000

Health value depends on which plan you elect; the retirement match assumes you contribute at least 4%. Your offer letter will show the full package at your actual salary.

Caseload and Schedule

•   The expected caseload is 14–16 completed visits per day. That’s where our current therapists actually run; we’re putting it in writing because we know postings in this field often say one number and mean another.

•   New hires follow a gradual 30/60/90-day ramp: 8–10 completed visits per day initially, 10–12 by 30 days, and 12–14 by 60–90 days. Double-booked blocks are added gradually as your clinical confidence and workflow develop.

•   You’ll have a standing weekly one-on-one with a senior therapist during work hours, for as long as it’s useful to you.

•   Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch, plus one four-hour weekend shift per month. Those four hours are offset by a four-hour reduction on another weekday during the same pay period.

•   We use HIPAA-compliant, AI-assisted documentation support designed to speed up note completion. Documentation time is part of the workday, with the goal that notes are finished before you leave.

•   Front desk and billing staff handle scheduling, insurance verification, and authorizations.

About the Clinic

We’re a therapist-owned clinic with a small team: physical therapists, a PTA, aides, and dedicated front desk staff. The caseload is general outpatient orthopedics with steady referral volume — post-surgical patients, athletes, and active older adults — so you’d be busy from the start rather than building a schedule from zero. We’re planning to open a second location in the next year; this position is an addition to the team, not a backfill. Participation in second-location leadership would be optional and would include defined authority, responsibilities, and additional compensation.

What the Job Involves

•   Evaluating and treating your own outpatient orthopedic caseload with individualized, evidence-based plans of care.

•   Directing the PTA and aides supporting your patients.

•   Keeping documentation accurate, timely, and payer-compliant.

•   Communicating with referring physicians and families where needed.

•   Participating in team meetings and in-services, and mentoring students if that interests you.

Qualifications

•   DPT or MPT from a CAPTE-accredited program.

•   California PT license, active or pending. New grads are welcome to apply before licensure comes through.

•   Current BLS/CPR certification.

•   Outpatient orthopedic experience and Spanish are both helpful but not required.

How to Apply

Email your resume and a few sentences about what you’re looking for to kyle@skyparkrehab.com. We respond to every applicant. The process is a phone conversation, a visit to the clinic to meet the team and see how it runs, and then a written offer with all of the numbers in it. We try to complete it within two weeks.
