What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medication Aide & CNA - Evening Shift position at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home?
Skyline Terrace Nursing Home and Memory Lane Assisted Living is now hiring certified medication aides to help care for our residents on the 3pm to 11pm shift (pay range includes shift differential). The ideal medication aide will also be a certified nurse aide and possess in-depth knowledge of patient care procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively and have good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Deliver routine daily medications to patients.
- Coordinate with different nurses to assist with patient care and medications.
- Follow written or verbal instruction on how to manage medications.
- Record medication dosages and times.
- Observe patients and document changes.
- Uphold all health and safety standards.
- Respond to patient emergency call bells to identify patient needs.
- Provide care to the residents.
Requirements:
High school diploma or relevant qualification.
Must be certified medication aide and a certified nurse aide
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a medication aide.
Able to work flexible schedule with every other weekend required.
Must have a good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
