Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Skyline is seeking qualified applicants for the Welder position. This role is a vital part of the facility’s production team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Welding structural steel parts as specified by drawings or prints.
- Safely producing quality products in a timely manner.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Obtaining and maintaining all required welding certifications.
- Willingness to work any shift.
Candidates may be required to pass a site-specific weld test as part of the interview process. Additionally, after signing an offer letter, successful candidates must pass a: background check, fitness for duty exam, drug screen (urinalysis and hair follicle in accordance with applicable law).

Compensation Information:
The pay range for this position is $21.93-$24.18 plus a weekly production bonus. Teammates in this role make on average $63K-$96K annually.
This is a safety sensitive position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Welding certification from a college, technical, or trade school or at least two years of welding experience in an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with air arc gouging and plasma torch usage.
- Manufacturing or production environment experience.
- Experience reading measuring devices (ex. tape measures, gauges, micrometers).
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Experience working with welding symbols and common weld defects.
- Experience operating a standard overhead crane.
