Tool Room Helper

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Key Responsibilities

 Assist in issuing, receiving, and tracking tools and equipment

 Maintain organized tool storage areas, cribs, and cabinets

 Clean, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment

 Assist toolmakers and maintenance personnel with setup and teardown of tools and dies

 Operate basic shop equipment (drill press, grinder, saws) as needed

 Monitor tool inventory and report shortages or damaged items

 Label, tag, and document tools and components accurately

 Support preventive maintenance tasks

 Maintain a clean and safe work environment

 Follow all company safety procedures and policies

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Run all production jobs assigned to the Tool Room

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Qualifications

 High school diploma or GED preferred

 Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools

 Ability to read measuring devices (calipers, micrometers preferred but not required)

 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

 Strong organizational skills

 Willingness to learn and take direction

 Previous manufacturing or tool room experience is a plus

 Must be able to speak read and write in English
