Our client in Schaumburg is seeking a Bilingual HR/Compliance Coordinator for their fast-paced metal manufacturer facility in Schaumburg!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The HR Coordinator/Office Manager provides administrative support to both the HR

department and office management. This role assists with onboarding temporary workers,

supports compliance efforts by translating Mercury Academy materials into Spanish, and helps

with safety and compliance activities on the plant floor. Additionally, the HR Coordinator/Office

Manager ensures smooth office operations, maintains cleanliness, organizes events, and assists

with maintenance scheduling and other special projects as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR & Onboarding:

  • Assist HR with onboarding processes for temporary workers, ensuring all paperwork and

procedures are completed.

  • Support the Compliance Manager by translating Mercury Academy training materials into

Spanish.

  • Help maintain compliance by being present on the plant floor and assisting the

Compliance Maintenance team.

Safety & Compliance Support:

  • Assist in hosting and organizing safety committee meetings.
  • Keeping up with training record

Office Management:

  • Ensure that the conference room is ready and prepared for meetings and visitors.
  • Oversee the janitorial team to ensure the cleanliness of the plant is maintained.
  • Assist with day-to-day office administrative tasks such as scheduling, office supply

management, and correspondence.

Event & Visitor Coordination:

  • Help organize company events and coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings.
  • Prepare for visitors’ visits by ensuring proper arrangements, including conference room

setup and any needed materials.

Special Projects:

 

JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCE COORDINATOR

 

  • Provide assistance with special projects as requested by HR, Compliance, or other

departments.

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior related office experience preferred.
  • HR coordination, office management, or a related field.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required for translation duties.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office environment with regular interaction on the plant floor.
  • May require occasional after-hours work to prepare for special events or visitor visits.
