What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Lab Technician position at Skyline Staffing?
Our client in St.Charles is seeking experienced Lab Technicians on the 1st Shift
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm
Key responsibilities / tasks of the position
• Color Matching
o Formulate using standard NAFTA formulations
o Color matching and testing
o Make color computer readings and colour computer/visual corrections and adjustments
• Set up of Lab Equipment
o Operating and set-up of lab extruders
• Cleaning
o Cleaning and disassembling of lab equipment (changeover) from one run to another
following the procedures set out by management i.e. (lockout procedure, clean down
procedure)
• Making Lab Samples
o Extrusion, grinding, and spraying of test samples
• Making Metallic Lab Samples
o Operating and set up bonding mixers for running bonding trials
o Continually monitor lab runs for quality and machine operation, notifying supervisor if
abnormalities are noticed
• Safety & 7S
o Consideration for the safety and well-being of yourself, as well as others at all times
o General Cleaning and housekeeping of your area and conformance to application safety
guidelines at all times
Other / additional responsibilities
• Additional duties as assigned by Lab Management
• Verify with sales the customer requirements as required
• Follow the requirements for ISO 14001 and 9001 systems
• Driving Full Responsiblity and Advice Process throughout the organization
• Interact with co-workers, peers and supervisor in a constructive, productive and cooperative
manner
• Consider the safety and well-being of yourself and others
• Follow and Live Liberating Organism (LO) strategies and principles.
