As part of our continued expansion across Europe, we are seeking an experienced business leader to drive growth throughout the defense, intelligence, and security sectors while serving as the senior representative of Skyline GmbH.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to build and lead Skyline's European defense and government business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, identifying and closing new business opportunities, establishing partnerships with major defense contractors and systems integrators, and expanding Skyline's presence throughout Europe.
While this role includes leadership responsibilities associated with Skyline GmbH, its primary focus is business development, revenue growth, and market expansion.
We are seeking a highly connected and entrepreneurial leader with an established network within the European defense, intelligence, and government community and a proven track record of winning complex opportunities.
Preference will be given to candidates based in Germany with experience operating within the German defense and government ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute Skyline's European defense, intelligence, and government growth strategy.
- Identify, qualify, pursue, and close strategic opportunities across defense ministries, intelligence organizations, security agencies, public safety organizations, and government customers.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers throughout Europe.
- Develop strategic relationships with major defense contractors, system integrators, and technology partners.
- Lead customer engagements, executive briefings, demonstrations, proposal efforts, negotiations, and contract discussions.
- Own the complete business development and sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract award.
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline capable of supporting aggressive growth objectives.
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting.
Strategic Growth & Partnerships
- Lead capture activities for major opportunities and framework contracts.
- Establish teaming arrangements and partner relationships where appropriate.
- Identify new routes to market and strategic growth opportunities.
- Represent Skyline at defense conferences, exhibitions, NATO-related events, and industry forums throughout Europe.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to executive leadership and product teams.
Skyline GmbH Leadership
- Serve as the senior local representative of Skyline GmbH.
- Support the continued development and growth of Skyline's European operations.
- Coordinate with corporate leadership regarding legal, compliance, financial, and operational matters.
- Assist with the development of future regional sales, technical, and support capabilities as the business grows.
Qualifications
Required
- 10 years of successful business development, sales, or leadership experience within defense, intelligence, government technology, aerospace, ISR, geospatial intelligence, C4ISR, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated success developing and closing complex government or defense opportunities.
- Strong understanding of European defense procurement and acquisition processes.
- Established relationships within defense ministries, intelligence organizations, government agencies, NATO-related organizations, or major defense contractors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive engagement skills.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Europe.
Preferred
- Based in Germany.
- Experience working with the German Ministry of Defence, Bundeswehr, NATO organizations, or major European defense contractors.
- Existing network within defense primes, systems integrators, and government procurement organizations.
- Experience leading capture strategies and proposal development efforts.
- Existing security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
- Fluency in English and German.
