What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Shop Hand/Junior Installer position at Skyline Sign & Wrap?
Skyline Sign & Wrap is looking for a dependable, hard-working Shop Hand/Junior Installer to join our team. This is an entry-level position for someone who wants to get into the wrap and graphics industry, learn hands-on, and grow into a more skilled installer over time. You’ll help with vehicle prep, vinyl prep, table work, weeding, shop support, and simple installs while learning proper wrap techniques from our team. This matches how many wrap and graphics shops structure junior/apprentice roles: supporting production, assisting installs, and learning the fundamentals of quality application.
What You’ll Do:
- Prep vehicles for wraps and graphics by cleaning surfaces and helping get units ready for install
- Assist with vinyl prep, including weeding, trimming, taping, organizing panels, and laying out graphics
- Help with table work and production support before installs
- Assist with simple installs such as decals, lettering, and basic graphic placement
- Learn proper installation techniques for vehicle wraps, commercial graphics, and related materials
- Help keep the shop clean, organized, and ready for production
- Support senior installers with tools, materials, positioning, post-heating, cleanup, and finishing work
- Help inspect completed work for cleanliness, accuracy, and overall quality
