Skyline Glass & Glazing is a union-affiliated commercial glazing subcontractor serving the greater Boston market. We are a small, growing shop with a strong reputation for professionalism and high-quality work across storefront, curtainwall, interior office fronts, and specialty glazing systems.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Glazing Project Manager to oversee projects from kickoff through closeout. The ideal candidate brings strong field coordination skills, accurate drawing interpretation, and estimating experience to support the pipeline between projects. This supervisory role works closely with our union field crews. Candidates from both union and non-union backgrounds are welcome; union membership is not required.
Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Manage the full lifecycle of commercial glazing projects ($250K–$2M ).
- Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and procurement timelines.
- Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
Procurement & Supply Chain
- Order materials, hardware, and glazing systems based on approved submittals.
- Coordinate with vendors on pricing, lead times, delivery logistics, and contingencies.
Field & Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as the primary PM interface with GCs, architects, and owners.
- Coordinate with field foremen, office staff, and external partners.
- Attend site visits, OAC meetings, and coordination sessions.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate project records (meeting minutes, correspondence logs, change order logs, submittals).
- Enforce safety standards and jobsite protocols in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
Estimating Support
- Assist the Lead Estimator during slower PM periods.
- Perform takeoffs, obtain vendor quotes, review scopes, and prepare bid documentation.
- Ensure estimating practices align with company standards and historical cost data.
What You Bring
Required
• 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with glazing, curtainwall, façade, and interior glass fit-outs.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and contract documents.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with procurement, vendor management, and lead-time coordination.
• Strong communication skills; comfortable representing the company in GC/owner meetings.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and digital plan tools (Procore or equivalent).
• Collaborative working style with field crews and office staff.
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
• Knowledge of aluminum storefront, curtainwall, entrances, and related glazing systems.
• Experience with demountable systems.
• Experience working with union field crews.
• Prior estimating experience in glazing or a related trade.
•Experience managing projects in the $1M–$2M range in the Boston market.
Compensation & Benefits
•Base salary: $90,000–$120,000 depending on experience
•Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance
