With new ownership, we are starting our next chapter, and we are looking for a self-motivated, organized, detailed oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our commissary operations team in Fairfield, OH.
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for material control functions, including receiving, production, inventory control, material storage and disbursement (shipping and traffic control). This position will report to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
Essential Functions
- Manage warehouse storage locations (in-house/outside storage and frozen/dry) for all products.
- Submit weekly reports.
- Coordinate Inbound/Outbound shipments.
- Operation of hand jack and/or forklift
- Load outbound trucks
- Unload receiving in items
- Manage inventory levels of club pack grocery products- take out!
- Perform cycle counts on materials.
- Performs billing and weighing as required.
- Inspects shipments, records any overage/shortage/damage on bill of lading and or receiving sheets.
- Coordinate shipments of canned chili product and empty totes to and from canning facility.
- Manage wooden pallet inventories.
- Manage the disposition of empty barrels.
- Review and process customer orders, to coordinate deliveries or pick up of product from designated warehouse.
- Interface with customer Buyers, Brokers, and Traffic departments, when needed to provide support for problem resolutions and follow-up.
- Coordinate shipment of product samples to Grocery customers and donations to overseas Military.
- Support cook and pack room departments as needed.
Required Education and Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic Knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally between departments.
