Job Description

Job Title: Lead Carpenter & Multi-Trade Maintenance Tech
Travel Required: Yes
Job Location: Salem and Surrounding Area
Wage/Time: $20-$27 hour DOE

Role and Responsibility
We’re seeking a skilled, reliable multi-trade craftsman to support our field operations and service work through the Salem metro area. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, works independently and understands how quality, efficiency and communication drives successful projects.

You will provide a wide variety of repair, maintenance, and remodeling and installs across residential and commercial projects. You will be trusted to assess issues, execute work to a high standard and represent Skyline Builders. This role requires the ability to work independently across occupied rental units, completed projects and active new construction sites with minimal supervision.

Direct reports include: Project Managers, Superintendents, Property Managers, Operations Manager

Trade Skills Required

• Carpentry - Both new installation and renovation
• Drywall repair, finishing and painting
• Plumbing repairs and fixture installation
• Fence repairs
• Flooring repairs and install
• Troubleshooting and thoughtful planning

Experience/Technical Duties

• Proficient with various mobile phone software platforms to report job updates and schedule updates
• Ability to read and follow technical specifications to install new products
• Basic understanding of reading project plans and technical drawings
• Complete recurring property inspections to identify problems and necessary maintenance
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs
• Schedule and direct specialty trades to efficiently turnover rental properties for new residents
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, ladders and towing trailers

Compensation & Benefits

• $20-27 an hour

• $50/mo. Cell Phone Reimbursement
• Company provided Vehicle & Tool Budget
• Skyline Builders LLC covers up to 100% of the premium of Company Selected Health Insurance Policy (Health, Vision, Dental). The employee will pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan.
• 401k plan with company contribution. 100% company contribution up to the first 3% of pay and 50% company contribution from 3% to 5%.
