Job Summary: The Purchasing Coordinator role involves managing the entire purchasing process from requisition to order fulfillment, maintaining supplier relationships, and optimizing the supply chain.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Research potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, pricing & manage ongoing supplier relationships.
· Prepare & process purchase orders, manage procurement documentation, and ensure cost-efficient purchasing processes.
· Regularly monitor inventory levels of all consumables & supplies, place orders as needed, track the status of orders and deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments.
· Work with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and collaborate with finance to ensure timely payments.
· Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
· Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings across the lab operations
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to work independently & without specific direction
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 3 -5 years minimum relevant industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
