About the Role

This opportunity is ideal for an early-career Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys hands-on product development, CAD design, problem-solving, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
In this role, you'll design and refine components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes while supporting products from concept through validation and production. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and customers to develop practical, high-quality solutions that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes based on customer and market requirements
- Create and refine CAD models, engineering drawings, and product documentation
- Support new product development, product updates, validation, and production launch activities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve design, process, and assembly issues
- Review technical reports and recommend design changes to meet product specifications
- Develop and maintain Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R) in alignment with customer requirements, DFMEA, and applicable industry standards
- Coordinate with internal and external test labs and support product testing and validation activities
- Work with Sales and customers to develop product specifications and technical documentation
- Support research and development initiatives and identify opportunities for product improvements
- Assist with technical presentations, customer meetings, and product reviews
- Support engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
- Stay current on new technologies, materials, manufacturing processes, and industry developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered
- 1–5 years of experience in design engineering, product development, or a related field
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Experience using CAD software for product design and development
- Understanding of GD&T, Design for Assembly (DFA), DFMEA, and tolerance stack analysis
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and technical product requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and solution-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with product design, development, testing, and validation
- Experience creating DVP&R documentation and supporting test activities
- Familiarity with safety-critical products or regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and customers
- Ability to participate in or lead cross-functional engineering projects
