Reports to: VP, Commercial Operations
Skylight Staffing, on behalf of our client an award-winning and highly respected Commercial General Contractor is seeking a Project Executive to oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives while providing leadership across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery with maximum ROI by following established project management processes and procedures.
- Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate company operations and performance.
- Serve as a strategic partner in organizational planning, assessing the impact of long-term strategies and regulatory actions.
- Drive initiatives that improve profitability, productivity, and efficiency across operations.
- Deliver timely and accurate budget reports, project evaluations, and business trend analyses to support senior leadership.
- Prepare qualification packages and resumes that align with client delivery systems, including:
- Bid Qualifications
- Negotiated Contracts
- Design-Build Projects
- Construction Management (CM) Agreements
- Follow up on leads, qualify opportunities, and collaborate with the President on potential projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects until project handoff to Project Managers.
- Develop and present proposals for negotiated projects.
- Advise, negotiate, and manage contracts while consulting with the CFO and General Counsel on financial and legal considerations.
- Collaborate regularly with executives and Project Managers to align priorities with company direction.
- Identify risks, propose improvements, and present recommendations to leadership.
- Supervise and mentor Project Managers directly, with indirect oversight of team staff.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and expertise.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit upright for up to 8 hours/day.
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Extended computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
- Ability to move through construction sites, including uneven terrain and confined spaces.
- Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).
- Full wrist and finger dexterity with repetitive motions.
- Occasionally lift, push, or carry up to 30 lbs; regularly handle up to 10 lbs.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Occasionally lift files, bend, or use a stool to access items.
