ABOUT THE POSITION
The Area Agronomy Operations Manager is responsible for the overall profitability and operation of the assigned area’s locations and for business development with that area’s customer base. A description of the duties includes:
- Manages the overall agronomy operations of the area’s locations in accordance with the Company policies and procedures;
- Responsible for generating sales and increasing profits at the locations;
- Manages location’s products and services including stocking, inventory (inventory control), reconciling inventory, merchandising, advertising, billing and receipt of payment;
- Submits accurate location reports in a timely manner;
- Provides leadership, training and supervision to the locations’ employees;
- Ensures maintenance, organization and cleanliness of department buildings, equipment and grounds;
- Responsible for emergency coordination in accordance with company policy and procedure, in the event of an accident or disaster;
- Represents the Company at local community activities as needed;
- Prepares and presents safety meetings for locations;
- Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments;
- Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management;
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements;
- Present a clean and professional appearance;
- Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Basic computer operation skills.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Agriculture industry and sales experience required;
- Valid driver's license required; Commercial driver's license preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
Salary : $53,141 - $79,183
