- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions confidently while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock supplies, and assist with merchandising efforts to enhance store presentation
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Support stockroom activities such as stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and assisting with inventory counts
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems or familiarity with retail technology is advantageous
