Job Summary:
Skyfish is looking for a seasoned professional to help program our CNC machine at our machine shop in Florence, Montana and contribute to our mission. As Skyfish is a rapidly growing startup, the candidate will need to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines
- Program and operate CNC machines to produce parts
- Ensure all machined components meet quality standards and specifications
- Utilize SolidWorks CAD software for design, modification, and prototyping of components
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs
- Maintain inventory levels, track usage, and ensure timely replenishment of essential materials, tools, and supplies
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks and address any discrepancies that arise
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, machining, and SolidWorks design
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training or certification in machining and CAD design is a plus
- Strong proficiency in CNC programming, machining, and SolidWorks CAD software in order to support 3D printing
- High degree of attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities to help troubleshoot issues that arise during machining
