What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at SKYE Texas Hill Country Resort?
Job Overview
SKYE Texas, LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and results-driven Accounting Manager to oversee and perform the day-to-day accounting and financial functions of the company, its resort operations, and related entities.
This is a hands-on accounting position. While the role carries responsibilities comparable to those of a Controller, the Accounting Manager is expected to be directly involved in the accounting work itself—from daily transactions and reconciliations through month-end closing, financial reporting and tax preparation. The successful candidate must be comfortable taking ownership of the accounting function and working independently with minimal supervision.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and company standards and for ensuring the timely preparation of financial statements, tax filings and other financial reporting.

- Manage all accounting and financial reporting related to the company’s vineyard and winery operations, including required TABC reporting, recordkeeping, reconciliations and other applicable regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ensure that applicable tax liabilities and filing deadlines are accurately tracked and met.
- Maintain accurate records of company assets, liabilities, revenues, expenses and other financial activities.
- Identify discrepancies, unusual transactions and accounting issues and take responsibility for researching and resolving them.
- Develop, document and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls.
