Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and farm machinery.
- Perform repairs and maintenance using hand tools and specialized equipment.
- Align, assemble, and solder components as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate heavy machinery to test functionality after repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair status.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment operation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy machinery, including Caterpillar models.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs.
- Ability to align, assemble, and solder mechanical components effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
- A valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to heavy equipment mechanics are a plus.
