The Senior Director is a strategic and results-oriented leader who will partner internally and help identify growth opportunities. They will be an excellent partner and develop long and prosperous relationships, elevating Paramount Games via consistent delivery of high quality, bold and fun games across original IP and the Paramount IP portfolio. RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and negotiate and structure licensing dealsLeverage your deep expertise in the gaming industry to identify emerging gaming trends and evaluate business opportunitiesCultivate and nurture strong business relationships with game developers, platforms and partners and maintain a deep understanding of upcoming projects and initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Marketing, Communications, Creative, Production, Legal and Finance to support greenlight recommendations and approvalsStay closely connected to cultural trends, emerging formats and shifts in the entertainment landscape to inform future content opportunitiesDrive value through licensing, business development and strategic partnerships and approach relationships with a customer service mentalityCreate and communicate presentations and materials related to deals and key strategic initiativesPitch and secure new IP rights for licensing commercializationSource and negotiate third party development partnerships for both internal and external development teamsSource and negotiate new game content and manage existing game developer relationshipsREQUIREMENTS:8 - 10 yrs working in licensing and business development in the video games industry at a video game studio, publisher or platformBachelor’s degree, MBA or JD strongly preferredAbility to travel (25%)Demonstrated success in identifying and closing large scale licensing dealsEnthusiasm and deep understanding of traditional business models and learning those flowing from emerging mediaMust be highly organized, detail oriented and poised and able to resolve issues and communicate effectivelyStrong negotiation skills, with experience in developing multi-year deals with multiple stakeholdersSelf-starter that demonstrates good judgment, takes initiative and gains consensusStrong relationship and project management skillsProven track record of taking ownership and driving resultsThe annual salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $215,000 – $240,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.
