Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Instructor
Location: Camp Pendleton, CA
Overview:
SkyBridge Tactical is seeking a motivated Vehicle Maintenance Instructor that has the knowledge, skills and attributes to implement and evaluate instruction on the operation of the system, subsystems and equipment controls; execution of diagnostic tests and interpretation of results; removal and installation of major components; determination if the system/subsystem is malfunctioning; isolation and location of malfunctions in the Line Replaceable Units (LRU); replacement of defective LRU’s; troubleshooting and repair of system and subsystem malfunctions, and performance of routine preventative maintenance functions. Must review and provide recommended changes to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio-visual aids in support of lesson material and examinations. Must be able to deliver instruction incident events identified for the Assault Amphibious Family of Vehicles (FOVs), and the associated training systems. Additionally, must be responsible for the upkeep of their assigned periods of instruction and other administrative tasks associated with maintenance of the repairer/technician curriculum.

Responsibilities:
The Vehicle Maintenance Instructor’s Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver instruction on the operation and maintenance of ACV systems, subsystems, and equipment controls.
- Lead students through execution and interpretation of diagnostic tests, malfunction isolation, and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) identification and replacement.
- Teach troubleshooting and repair procedures for mechanical and electronic subsystems, including corrective and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Conduct PMCS, inspections, and maintenance procedures in alignment with field-level maintenance manuals and associated references.
- Provide instruction on maintenance incident events and ACV-Recovery (ACV-R) variant systems as they are introduced.
- Review and recommend updates to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, training aids, and evaluations.
- Maintain and update assigned periods of instruction, instructional records, and other curriculum-related administrative tasks.
- Deliver instruction that may include overlapping operator-level tasks, in coordination with evolving ACV program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be current USMC Swim Quall Intermediate, or capable of qualifying as such.
- Must have a current SVET qualification or capable of qualifying in the SVET.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ACV (or similar combat vehicle) maintenance procedures, diagnostics, and field-level repair practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, multi-meters, and power tools used in maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language, including technical language related to operation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Experience delivering technical instruction using formal lesson plans, manuals, and training systems
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military experience within the armored vehicle community with an emphasis on 4 years experience in an Assault Amphibian Battalion as an operator, mechanic, or communicator.
- Prior military experience within the Stryker Combat Vehicle community as an operator, mechanic, or communicator.
- Preferred graduates of Instructor Development Course (IDC) and or Curriculum Developers Course (CDC). Prior Formal Learning Center experience is a plus.
