Air Tanker A&P Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to support aircraft maintenance and field operations. This position works with the Fleet/Crew Leads to maintain aircraft safety, schedules, and maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft systems and components.
• Diagnose and repair airframes, engines, propellers, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical/avionics, fuel, and other aircraft systems.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Perform routine and special inspections and document preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Remove/install engines and components; inspect for wear, corrosion, cracks, leaks, and other defects.
• Perform aircraft structural repairs and basic sheet metal fabrication.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and aircraft test equipment.
• Support flight operations and customer requirements during field assignments.
• Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, company maintenance procedures, and safety standards.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time; schedule varies based on operational needs
• Travel during field operations
• $33–$40/hour based on experience, skills, certifications, and location

Requirements:

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Electrical, technical, or mechanical experience/aptitude
• Basic aircraft structures/sheet metal knowledge
• Basic avionics/electrical troubleshooting knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Own basic set of hand tools
• Ability to travel for extended field assignments

Preferred:

• 3 years of General Aviation experience
• FAR Part 145 experience
• Electrical or avionics experience

Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
