About us

We are a fun and interactive team of therapists and our team is expanding! We are seeking an experienced speech therapist, who has a passion for working with kids, is seeking to provide quality therapy services and have a better work life balance.

SkyBreak Therapy, Meridian, Idaho / Boise, Idaho - Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Clinic

We are seeking an individual who is compassionate, caring, and supportive to each child and their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients (ages 0–18), using standardized tools and clinical observations.
  • Individualized Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized therapy plans to address communication challenges, including articulation disorders, language delays, autism spectrum disorders, fluency issues, and feeding/swallowing difficulties.
  • Therapy Delivery: Provide engaging, play-based, and functional therapy sessions (30-60 minutes) in a one-on-one or small group setting, tailored to each child’s needs and goals.
  • Family Collaboration: Educate and empower families by providing strategies, home exercises, and resources to support therapy goals outside the clinic.
  • Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and clinic policies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach, parent education workshops, or multidisciplinary team meetings to promote the clinic’s mission and services.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred)
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision may also be provided.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in pediatric speech therapy preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric clinical rotations will be considered.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Expertise in assessing and treating a wide range of pediatric communication disorders (e.g., articulation, apraxia, language delays, AAC needs).
  • Proficiency in feeding/swallowing therapy is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create engaging, play-based therapy activities tailored to young patients.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and standardized assessment tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage a caseload

Work Environment

  • Setting: Modern outpatient pediatric therapy clinic equipped with sensory-friendly treatment rooms, play-based therapy tools, and advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, with flexible hours to accommodate family needs, if needed. Part-time options available (10 hours minimum).
  • Caseload: Diverse pediatric population with conditions such as autism, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and genetic disorders. Typical caseload ranges on clients per day, based on hours, 30 minute sessions. No more than 6 patients in a row.
  • Team: Collaborative, multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and administrative support staff.

  • Competitive pay range: $72,000-$104,000 annually, based on experience and additional trainings
